DUSTIN RUTH

making music

Mowing lawns earned Dustin the money to get his first guitar at age 13. After many failed attempts to master Weezer's "Undone" and the like - he started to arrange the few chords he knew to his own liking. He's been writing songs ever since.

In 2006, Dustin signed to Tooth & Nail Records, under the band name Ruth and hit the highways - touring with bands like Switchfoot and Relient K. Alongside five Ruth projects, he's independently released three solo albums. While Dustin's style has evolved over the years, his knack for strong melodies and wearing his heart on his lyrics is consistent throughout.

Dustin's songs have been used in numerous TV and film soundtracks, on major networks like ABC, FOX, MTV, and A&E. Working with ad agencies, he's composed music to support national ad campaigns for companies like The Art Institute and Key Bank.
